This is a site to communicate the events of Floyd's final days and information about services and wishes to his family and great many friends of his 79 wonderful years.
This blog was created as way to immediately inform family and friends as to Floyd's condition after his stroke. We were in Mexico and unable to call.
The post begins with my account of the stroke, and the events as they happened. To read them in order, start with "The Stroke," which is the first post and read them in reverse order.
Be sure to have "OneForFloyd!" at your favorite pub/bar. We hope you'll be able to contribute to the establishment of the Floyd J Klozar memorial baseball field and scholorship for the children of Spokane.
Over 100 cards offerring condolences arrived at my dad's house the week of the ceremony. Thank you all for sending these, it is much appreciated. Unfortunately, we do not see the cards contents or senders names. Although we cannot send a reply, you have our gratitude.
I've unfortunately had to hide the overwhelmingly caring and thoughtful comments due to provocative and hurtful rants posted by my father's estranged daughter Sherry and her child Alaina. The comments were hurtful, inappropriate, and would have devistated my father to know such things were being shared on his memorial site with his closest friends and loved ones. He wanted the best for everyone. Always.
